ABOUT LEAD BREVARD
LEAD Brevard provides collaborative leadership training, civic education and connections to leaders of all ages and stages of leadership, empowering them to identify and take action on issues that resonate, positioning them to become positive change agents in the community. Founded in 1986 and governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, LEAD Brevard, Inc. is a 501(c)3 registered nonprofit corporation.
It’s widely recognized that a community is more than just its buildings. Less well understood is the energy that it takes to establish, nurture and expand the connections between people to bring the character of a community forward. That energy is what we call leadership. For more than 38 years, LEAD Brevard has been bringing people of diverse backgrounds together to build the awareness and mutual trust needed to create constructive partnerships that serve the greater good.
The signature leadership programs of LEAD Brevard have graduated more than 1000, hundreds of community impact projects have been completed and leadership programming has led to the appointment of more 300 new board members at 75+ different nonprofits. During this time, more than 600 employers have supported these programs to develop staff and help individuals become community-involved, effective leaders.
LEAD. ENGAGE. ACHIEVE. DEVELOP.
Today we continue to believe each of us can engage in collaborative, inclusive and sustainable leadership for our community.
